Dowlatshahi Women's Names are not recordedDowlatshahi Women's Names have not been recorded in any official Family Trees. replaced by Shazdeh Khanoum or , Shazi which are generic titles meaning Princess. Dowlatshahi women: the daughters, the aunts, the cousins, the nieces, the grandmothers and so on, have been obliterated from pages of history. Dowlatshahi women do not pass the family name, and are only referred to Shazdeh Khanoum in the traditional Shajarehnameh preparations. Dowlatshahi women along with all other women of our cultural descent are never mentioned and are referred to by their association with the closest male relative such as the wife of, the daughter of, the sister of, etc. ConventionsI try to use the method of notation that Eskandar has used and so starting with Fatali Shah, Dowlatshah being his son (1) but one of many and for example Emad-ed doleh is the sixth son so his notation is 1.6. and Sarem Doleh the first son of is recognized as 1.6.1. The Dowlatshahi women, I have referred to 0 since I do not know their names, unless I know their names or their father's names, or their husband's names. Why narrative style?Family trees are interesting because they are many-dimensional structures, and I would argue that no one has been able to draw them properly before hypertext. Hypertext changes everything. Turning the jumps in the narrative Burke's Peerage format into hyper-links finally makes the format easy to read and follow. And the Web delivers many more things, Hypertext also handles all those cross-references, multiple intermarriages, in-law interconnections, sources, etc. in a way that no other system can. It allows me publish immediately, making older parts (no living people) available publicly on the Web. It allows embedded scanned-in bitmaps. Dates Of Births and DeathsTo state the exact Birth and Death dates has been very hard for me as I do not know most of the dates. I have listed siblings in order of age based on guesses and family references. Facebook Links (coming soon)Privacy and disclosuresI am very conscious of people's need for privacy. I publish well-known Dowlatshahi family members with published biographies or some historical reference. I do not share personal information beyond what you have shared with the public. |
